Our mission is to create a positive and empowering health and wellness environment.  Through the right combination of services and motivation we will challenge our clients to put their “goals in motion” and reach their desired goals.  Equally important it is our desire to build long lasting relationships with our clients.  The studio staff will create a community feel that is supportive, comfortable, and respectful of the goals of each individual.

Mardi Pfannebecker and Sandy Hafner opened Goals in Motion Fitness Studio in January 2007.  They had dreams of combining their love of fitness/wellness and their passion in working with and motivating people into a program that is welcoming and supportive to all people.  The studio environment is not only very comfortable but also motivating and the program has been built to help people reach their desired goals with intense workouts and nutritional guidance.  Mardi and Sandy have established a family like atmosphere and they, and all the instructors/coaches, know the members names and also workout right alongside the members daily.

Mardi graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Exercise Science and Health.  She was a scholarship athlete at ISU, playing basketball for 1 year and softball for 3 years.  Mardi was a massage therapist for 15 years prior to opening GIM.  She also has been an ACE certified personal trainer since 2002 and a certified kickboxing instructor since 2004.  She has been involved in all types of fitness for over 30 years and has also coached  elementary softball and basketball.

Sandy also graduated from Iowa State University with a BA degree in Business.  She went on to earn her MS degree in Administration at Northern Illinois Unveristy.  While at ISU, Sandy was a scholarship basketball player for 4 years.  After graduating from ISU, she spent 8 years working in the business world and coaching high school basketball before changing careers to work with college athletes while also guiding them in life skills and academic excellence for 10 years.  She then joined Mardi on this awesome venture to open GIM.  She also is a personal trainer and fitness has been a part of her life since childhood.

Mardi and Sandy encourage you to challenge yourself and make the commitment to change your life, not only physically but mentally!  Let the GIM family be your support group to push you beyond what you thought was possible.  We would love to meet you and help you reach those desired goals!!
